Maintenance Department

Our Maintenance Department allows us to keep "Digging America!"

At our large shops located at 475 Sherwood Drive, Carlisle, or at the job site, our maintenance department makes the repairs and perfoms maintenance to keep us up and running.

By doing the work ourselves, we know our equipment is in the best possible working condition and this allows us to meet our important schedules. Preventive maintenance as recommended by the manufacturer's specification insures a longer life of the equipment.

We coordinate with our superintendents so that the service work can be performed the fastest way possible to keep our projects on schedule. The Service Technicians know the equipment and keep everything working at peak condition. We are continually improving our department to give our clients the utmost in service, reduce down-time, and to determine the most accurate equipment costing.

Facts about our shops at 475 Sherwood Drive:

Our 9,600 square foot main shop has a waste-oil hot-water boiler that heats the floor and domestic hot water. It also provides radiant heat for the other buildings on site. With our 1,200 amp electrical service, there is never a shortage of power. There is a large wash bay to keep the equipment and trucks as clean as possible. These amenities make it easier for the Technicians to get the work done quickly - in safety and comfort.

We recently completed a second 9,360 square foot building that is used partially for equipment and large parts storage. The other part of the shop is used for small tools storage, parts and tool inventory, with a separate welding area. We usually have the parts needed to do the repair or maintenance so there is less down time waiting for parts to arrive.

Our shops are equipped with the most up-to-date safety equipment, and we hold safety meetings on a regular basis.

Our Service Truck Fleet

Since we have a large inventory of excavating equipment and multiple job locations, we maintain a fleet of service trucks to support repairs and maintenance on the job sites.

In our inventory, we have all the necessary items such as: cranes, welders, generators, air compressors, work lights (for night service and overtime work), oil recovery systems (to keep environment clean), and various safety equipment.

Our technicians are very knowledgeable and continue to learn the best methods to maintain and repair all our equipment. We pride ourselves on staying on top of the latest technology in the industry.

Our truck fleet, well equipped maintenance shops, and educated personnel all work together to insure the job is done right and on time!
